1981 245 Will not Start 200

A year or so ago after sitting for a long while with little use, I fired my 81’ 245 up, and then started to think.....gee I think that gas might be getting a little old....and as the car ran rougher and rougher, and then sputtered out...I thought man that was frick’en stupid of me not to think of that sooner!!!!!!

O.K., I know it was dumb to let my 81’ 245 sit for so long and now put off fixing it, but I did, and now I can’t seem to get it started up again.

What I have done or know:

New plugs, cap, rotor, battery charged....it turns over fast and free, but does not fire at all.

Jumped the fuel pump fuses (#5 & #7) to pump out the bad gas. Repeated the process several times adding new fuel until the gas looked good. Pumped the fuel out using both the to the tank line and the return line at the under hood fuel filter connections.

Put in a new fuel filter

Can hear the fuel pump whiz when the key is turned...so I would think the fuel pump relay is good.

Know the fuel has pressure to the filter, returns from the return line, and can feel it move though the filter with the fuel pump fuses jumped.

However, I pulled an injector, and NO FUEL is getting to it.... that is both with the injector hooked up....nothing squirts, and with it pulled from it's line, and it’s line totally open. I tested both with the fuses jumped, and by turning the engine over.

So, what I am I missing here? Why is the gas coming back out the return line, but not getting to the injectors????

Thanks!!!!
