If something is circulating through the engine destroying things, where else might be a good place to find additional damage?

Any B18 engine rebuilders in the Washington, DC area?

I don't think its bad luck with the cars. I use 'em a lot - 500 miles a week -- and am starting with a 40 year old machine. Its impressive to me that they are still around to put up with this kind of abuse.
