Inside Window Scraper Replacement - my experiences and suggestions 120-130

On my 1953 PV444 the fuzzy scrapers are screwed to the door frame, with very tiny flat headed screws. So, this may be a simpler process, rather than trying to fabricate new staples to fit the existing holes. I've heard that others have used pop rivets and others have tried using glues! Following is the procedure I used on my Amazon.

On my 1960 Amazon-S, I reused the original staples. I used the old fuzzy scraper as a template, drilling new holes, exactly where the staples would install. This lined up with the existing holes in the door, although I think all were not uniform, so had to match up the old fuzzy with the correct door panel and label accordingly (as I did with all parts removed). The original staples are robust and even after straightened for removal and bent back on the new scraper, I think they all survived. Too bad your painter didn't save them.
