You may also need to check if the latch will mate up with your present trunk. The trunk body panel is shaped exactly the same, but the cut-outs and bolt holes are different from the early type (yours) to the later models. It might necessitate tracking down the whole body panel, unless somebody knows if you can re-cut an older style to take that version of latch that you want to re-chrome.
