Tom,

The 900 series engine will work fine. You will have to swap the flywheel, remove the 900 series distributor and replace it with a plug, check the halfshaft timing because it does not mean anything on a 900 series engine but will mean something to you. You may want to use the rear seal keeper that IPD sells.
