Speedometer Problem and Removal 700 1991

I have a problem with my speedometer. It is dying a slow death. First it got stuck at 45 mph. Now it gets stuck at 25 mph. 10% of the time it works. The odometer only works when the speedometer is not stuck. Has anyone had this problem?

How do I remove the speedometer for replacement? I couldn't find any screws readily apparent at the dash. There are what appears to be access holes on the left and right sides in front of the clear plate over the instrument cluster.

Help.
