140s with overdrive often had a 4.30:1 ratio. There are several different speedometer gears available. They are different colors. I think I remember green, white yellow and red (it's been a while) They aren't too difficult to change.

I think I would go with a 65 or 70 series tire rather than a 75, probably a 205 for a 6.5" rim. The sidewall of a 205/70 should be plenty tall. The taller the sidewall the smoother the ride and the mushier the handling.
