Well after much pain and suffering removing the u-haul and the volvo factory
trailer wiring harness to no avail I found it. The front head light wiring assy. Yes its an 85 with the notorious wiring harness as I was pulling the last wire on the factory trailer light assy a light went of in my head ( hey isnt this an 85 didnt you have to rebuild the main harness already? why yes I did .) So I take a peek under the hood and sure enough the head light wires were bare . i re did the whole front light assy and crossed my fingers told the wife get in the car turn on the lights step on the brake and turn on the blinker.... it went blink blink blink and it was the only light doing it in the rear . I was jumping for joy finally ( stoopid wiring harness ). well i hope this helps somone.
