Thanks for the confirmation that it worked for you.

As it turned out, I trid forcing the action of the stuck lever a bit after liberally applying the PBlaster and waiting over night. Sure enough, it now starts leaking in one position, but is fine when "off". I'm going to have to try that kit now I think because finding intact and working used valves can be quite difficult.
