240 Trailer Hitch

Hello Douglas:

I'd consider a run to the local pick-n-pull first-- if you can score one there, you'll probably be ahead money and time! I paid $50 for one-- a good buy, since the long bolts through the rear frame members cost almost $10 each, if you can find them. Fits like a glove, and not difficult to install, although it does require trimming of the rear valence.

The 240 tows very well-- I have used mine several times with flatbed trailers and a variety of U-Haul covered trailers.

When wiring the lights, install the positive line on the feed side of the brake pedal switch-- that way you avoid the bulb-out indicator being on all the time when you tow.

Good luck!
