Hot start problem-where to look?

I have starting problem that only appears during on very hot days with my 89 740 Turbo wagon. When it happens, I turn the key and all the warning lights come on briefly, as they always do, but that is it. No ranking or clicking. But I found that if I disconnect the green wire from the soleniod, and run a wire from that terminal and touch it to the battery pos with the key on, it will always start. Starter and alternator have been replaced since the problem started, as well as the neutral safety swithch in the console, with no difference in starting when hot. Does this sound like Hall sensor failure, or igntion switch wiring problem? Somewhere, 12 volts is not going through, but where?
