I tuned up my 1986 740 today and it ran fine at first. Got out in rush hour traffic and it started to sputter and lost power when I pressed the accelerator and it finally conked out. Would not restart. When replacing the rotor I noticed a little black tab and while prying the old rotor out noticed it got a litte loose or play in it. Could this be my problem and does it involve replacing the tab and resetting the timing? All the connections are good with the new wires and distributor cap. Please help!!!
