A/C question

Most likely explanation is a lack of coolant in the system. When they are low, they cycle on and off rapidly. My experience with the 98 system is that it is missing a low side charging port, so not a slam dunk to recharge yourself. I have all my AC done at my favorite radiator shop. They did our 98 S70 including replacing the lower low side hose with a new unit, adding a charging port at the same time.

Good luck!
