Painting inside of engine? 120-130

Craig,

You do NOT want to paint any oil or water wetted areas. Other areas that should not be painted would be everything under the bellhousing, as well as any machined mating surfaces (head, pan, water pump, fuel pump, manifolds, etc).

Now about this "buffing".... if you actually removed metal, I hope you had all possible passages to all internal areas completely sealed off. If not, the block needs to be thoroughly cleaned again.
