I have an 89 240 wagon with central lock. I recently had to take the door apart to reattach the outside door handle mechanism which unhooked inside. Now my door wont lock from outside or inside which is a problem because I cant lock my car anymore. The central locking system works for the other doors. When I try to lock from outside the key just wont turn to the right to lock. It had been getting progressively difficult to lock but is now impossible. I dont know if this is a problem with the lock cylinder or with the lock mechanism that the cylinder actuates. The fact that I cant lock the door from the inside using the lock button leads me to believe that there is a problem with the mechanism not the lock cylinder. I tried to get the lock cylinder out but didnt want to destroy it so I stopped. I took out the 2 screws that hold it in but still dont know how to get it out. I looked at the whole lock mechanism it looks very complex and I wouldnt know to do with that. It kind of looks like "Mouse Trap" this connected to this and so on. Can some one pls help me try to resolve this problem. I work in a high crime area and need to lock my door. How do you get the lock cylinder out? Thanks larry
