I jumpered the FV relay and verified that the frequency valve was getting 12V at the green wire connector on the FV.
When the wire is jumped and the engine is off, the FV buzzes as it should. Upon starting after about 15 seconds, the FV stops buzzing, but I still have 12V at the connector.
Interestingly enough, if I disconnect the O2 sensor, the FV comes back on and stays on as long as the O2 sensor is disconnected.
The O2 sensor is putting out .95V at idle which decreases as the rpm's increase.
I'm stumped. For some reason, the FV is cutting out even when it has power going to it.
I recently changed out the pcv kit and I'm wondering if I may have damaged the line that goes from the FV around next to the pcv nipple, but the thing does work when the O2 sensor is unplugged. Ugh...
Is it possible that my wiring harness connector has a bad connection? The gray connector's wires don't look too hot and I'm sure I'll have to replace this harness at some point.
Any more ideas?
