I drilled down through all the FAQ's and checked the usual suspects; but I still cannot locate the problem for difficult starting in my 740GL. There are no codes being set and the diagnostic tests all run OK. The car will usually start immediately (hot or cold), then die quickly. Attempts to restart it go nowhere... it just cranks. If I come back a little later it may start and stall again; or it may start and stay running. Possibly related - I had an alternator failure a few months back and lost mt radio at the same time. The alternator fix was a replacement of the brushes and voltage regulator. The radio came back to life on its' own after 8-weeks or so (wierd!), although it will act up now and then on hard turns. I have replaced the radio suppression relay with a known-good unit, but with no effect on the starting. The RPM sensor is also fairly new. Any ideas on what I might try next to get at this starting problem? Thanks!
