thanks for the indepth info... it was fantastic to get a response!
I thought I had really searched around this very interesting site before posting my query, but I will have another look. The 740 Turbo has about 260 000 kms onit, it had a new crate engine at 160 000, so it probably needs a new oxygen sensor.
