122 fuel gauge failure 120-130

Sounds like the ambient temp is creating more resistance when warm.
Can't remember ever hearing of that symptom / problem but that's not unusual.

Try cleaning the connections at the tank and the instrument cluster. Also smear some electrical grease on the connections after cleaning. I use di-electric grease but I know there is something else out there (can't remember the name) that is similar or maybe better...Ron? So far I haven't had problems with the di-electric grease.

Always a good idea to disconnect the battery first before cleaning though. Especially when probing around under the dash.
