While on the topic, in case someone stumbles upon this while searching for answers, in '72 the lower mounting pin diameter of the rear shocks got larger. Found this out after buying replacements, which I just could not tighten up. It is not much, and it is simple to make a tube the correct length and diameters. I had it doen at work with stainless, worked well. No mods needed on the car. If someone really wants to get the measurements, you can bribe me to take it off and measure it up.
