We've had problems with both the ignition contact plate as well as the headlight switches in those cars. I would try wiggling the key a little bit when it is duplicating and see if it fixes it, if it does you need to replace the contact plate. The 960 that I just purchased for use as my new daily driver does it bad, I have to pull the key back a tad every stinkin' time I twist the key.
