It's not good for the other tires.
Seriously, get a full-size spare. Nothing like having to limit your driving when your active tire gets damaged. As in 150 miles from home and the writing on the side of the spare says "50 mph and 50 mile distance limit".
We have mounted snow tires and mounted summer tires; I keep one of whatever is off-season in the spare tire well. IIRC even 195/75-14 and 205/70-14 fit OK.
