Well, the S90 will be somewhat younger.

I would go for a 1997 960 (I did, have a 1997 965) with a good history, in good condition, and full service records, ahead of a 1998 S90. Almost regardless of mileage. (kilometerage?)

There are a few differences, but the only one of which I am aware is the re-locating of the seat heater switches. Not a critical thing, IMHO.

Perhaps another brickster will bring in the other changes.
