Speedometer issues 200

Look for a lost washer or spring inside the mechanism for the speedo needle drive. There's a permanent magnet and a coil in there- I've had 2 that the needle would go up to 25 and no further. Problem there turned out to be speedo reset button return springs, come adrift and grabbed by the permanent magnet.

Possibly yours grabbed a lost piece while you had it out. Have a look and see if any hardware is stuck to it down inside there.
