My tach is mounted to the pillar using the lowest trim screw to hold to pod. I looked and looked for a pod for my a/f meter and finally came up with this:

My a/f meter is mounted to the dash where the GT tach would go, and I have plans to move the tach over there too using the same system. These pods are pretty flexible, what with all the bases that come with them. I'd think that mount #5 could work for the pillar.
