960 engine compatiblity?

I agree with Ned-I have never traded out one of these engines-but it sounds like your brothers cars has already had that done anyway-the early model engines had timing belts that needed replacing every 20-30k miles-the later models 95 and up, the change interval was bumped to 70k miles.
