Power sunroof switch fix? 700 1991

I'm not a "board" old timer but I have been reading posts for over year or so and yours is the first I've seen about bad sunroof switches. I would think if a new one only lasted 6 months that the motor armature is probably getting worn and drawing more current causing the switch contacts to burn out. You can pry the switches apart and clean up the contacts but be sure not to loose the springs.
