Thanks for all the info.
yes its old 91 240
yes its cold Canada style.
Yes it outdoors.
My rule of thumb is .2volt at any connection and 1 volt drop over any circuit and there is a poor connection.
I will check conection from the alt back once I rip the head off and get the manifold bolts i %$#@ snapped off this morning drilled out .
