Brake light gremlins

Did you change the bulbs on both sides? Remove all oxide on the places where the bulb holders contact the circuit board, if your wagon has one.

Also, I am a little curious - I thought the 940 models came on the scene in the 1990's, not earlier. If yours a Euro model?
