Good choice, I like the KYB's. Firm, cheap. And my shocks were in exactly the same condition when I took them off recently, but I replaced them with Sachs.

BTW, the stock struts and shocks were oil charged, not gas. Trust me, I dismantled one a few days ago out of curiosity and foul smelling mineral oil shot all over my bench.
