Floored... 120-130 1967

Jeff!
If I were you I would look over what is left of your floor. If most of the
rusted-through section is in the bottom flat portion, you can buy flat sheet
metal MUCH cheaper than $180. And since welding in a smaller section will be
less welding, that will be cheaper also. I think for enough to do about 6
122 floor sections (1½ cars) I paid about $50. And that was enough to bend it
up at the edges and weld to the tunnel and the doorsills in front. I'd get at
least 18 gauge black iron. I think 20 gauge would be too thin. I would not
get galvanized because it makes inferior welds and you also burn off the
galvanize when you weld it leaving the most sensitive place unprotected.
Additionally whoever welds it also breathes zinc vapors.
