Radio Woes

I had a similar problem with my 1990 240 radio. It would suddenly switch to tape then to FM with no sound but if you hit it a few times it would work again. I finally got fed up with the thing, ripped it out and put in the analog radio from my 81 242. I can not be happier! I get great reception, I can unplug the battery forever and I don't have to put in any stupid codes and it always remembers my presets!

I did fix the orrigional radio. Step one put it in the clay pigeon launcher. Step two using a weapon not less than .410 repeatedly blasting it to bits (hollow point rifled slugs are preferred!). It hasn't switched to tape mode since!!
