Throttle Plates 140-160

Thanks George. I couldn't find the post where you mentioend what your BTC setting was. My distributor is the old iron centrifugal advance type, but I *could* put the proper B20E distributor on if need be. I'd rather avoid it until I do the full D-jet conversion. I don't want the headache of adjusting points when I barely understand the ignition ignition system

I do have those little spring loaded emission thingies in my throttle plates. they never caused me any serious issues before when they were on the B18, but it may be worth replacing them with some smooth butterflies. Maybe that's why I had to have everything set so rich.

The front carb has new throttle shaft seals already. #2 does not, but I used some rubber O rings as a stop-gap when I had them out for rebuilding. Maybe that's why #2 keeps stalling when I use the spring-loaded mix test plunger...thing...

So, would a smooth throttle plate from an HS6 or Stromberg drop into an HIF6?
