My faithfull 1987 240 5 speed has 189K on it and it has never given me stalling problems. However, I was driving it last week and as I was cruising in forth gear the car would not take the gas. It did not stall at this point. I went to pull over and downshifted when I did the car took the gas. Then it stalled a few seconds later. I got it home and it would not start at all the next day. It just kept trying to turn over without success. The next day I got it to start and it stalled about half way down the street and would not start again. Today it started easily on the first try but I did not try to drive it. i did let it idle for about a half hour with no problems. The car is a great work car but I realy do not want to sink money into it if it is not an easy fix.
