Specifically, the "performance and handling" forum.
You'll find discussions and knowledge on just about everything performance related for Volvos.
Most real performance gains start when you drop in a turbo engine, or add turbo to the existing one. There are various turbo units available, plus upgrades to injectors, ECUs, etc. etc.
There are some light mods aside from turbos, but they don't get you too much. E-fan reduces some of the load on the engine (vs. the stock cooling fan). A- or B- cam will add some performance but some say only at the higher rpms. Converting to standard tranny has also been done.
Heavier sway bars from a turbo car or by IPD (ipdusa.com) do wonders for handling. Period. No more mushmobile.
Be sure to take the six toolboxes and chest of drawers out of the cargo area. Ahem, I should talk...
