Power brake conversion 120-130

Your brake master cylinder: is it the original?

Some times, non original brake master cylinders (installed by the PO: previous owner) has a wrong diameter (for the amazon) and you need to press hard for stop (was my case some years ago).

Best option: use a adapter (rockauto usually sell it) and a dual master cylinder (please, someone remember the -original- right diameter?).

Booster is optional (my wife like it): the Lockheed servo is a good option.

If you like, see my brake adaptation on http://www.geocities.com/yogui7/1/images/IMAGE005.jpg (without booster) and
http://www.geocities.com/yogui7/2/images/IMAGE006.jpg (with booster)

btw: a additional suggestion: If you want to use your Amazon as a daily commuter, change also the brake light switch from the original hydraulic type to a mechanical type. On 60's you can wait half or quarter (of a second) to light the brake light (after start the braking), today you can't afford this delay (or someone could be crash with the aft of your car). Yourself can made the parts for that change (like me), or you can buy a kit for it(see http://www.sw-em.com/swemkits.htm#Brake%20Light%20Switch).
