Battery Cables 700 1989

Your cable does have some resistence and a bigger cable would have a smaller resistence. A smaller resistence (bigger cable) would allow a bit more voltage and current to the starter. However, if your cable ends are clean and the crimps on your cable are OK it, it should be marginal.

Get youself a battery charger with a engine start setting. If the car turns over with the charger, your cables are good enough to carry the current and your battery, charger may be to blame. BAttery chargers are good to have!
