Check Engine and code question 900

Spook
As usual thank you.
i did read the FAQ but did not understand that the "reader" was included in the box.
Unfortunately I did already disconnect my battery, but I assume that it is my Mass Airflow Sensor as that is what my dealer said 1-1/2 year ago when I had the car in and they wanted to fix my transmission, O2 sensor and MAF for only $3,300
That is when I started getting my hands dirty again.
When the CE light came on yesterday it did misfire while cranking. It must have corrected itself or just was a fluke, as she drove smoothly back home the 30 miles from the office to home, and therefore I disconnected the battery to reset the CE light. She drove fine this morning to work also.
Now that I know how to do this I will immediately take a code reading next time my CE light comes on.
Again thank you for the detailed response.
