strut replacement question 200

Make sure you grab four coils with the compressor- compress until the clamps on the compressor are about 2.5 to 3" apart- worked fine on my cars.

Just re-read your post. Do you have the whole strut assembled before putting it back in the tower? It almost sounds like you have the strut mount already mounted in the tower and are trying to thread the strut rod through it. You have to assemble the whole strut, including the mount, before putting in it back in the tower.
