Intercooling?

The purpose of an intercooler is to remove the heat from the pressurized air coming out of the turbo en route to the intake manifold. Without one the benefits of having a turbocharged engine are reduced.

There is no benefit to a non-turbo engine. Sorry, keep the intercooler for your friend. You might seal it up to prevent small critters from taking up residence inside.
