Basic rebuild to stop oil leaks - what else to consider 140-160 1973

You can replace the rear seal and seal housing by pulling the tranny without
pulling the engine. If it is auto tranny it may not be too much easier though.
Check your oil pressure switch. They frequently go bad and drool oil all over.

You probably don't have valve seat recession if you have excessive clearance
because receding valve seats make the clearance disappear.
