I've heard lots of good things about the KG head but there is a reason John is so busy. So the choice is yours - I've never subscribed to the notion that heads are mystical, but experience with an engine design has to help. I'd check with KG and see what their time lines are then compare. If you were going to do it locally, make sure they know what they are doing - have a flow bench etc. Have a look at this site for more details (http://1800philes.com/engine_article.html)
