I feel somewhat like an idiot now thinking about it further... My train of thought was that the needle allows more fuel in as the piston goes up, which it does, BUT you need to get the fuel flowing to begin with. Maybe I was even thinking that it was starved for air and that was causing the intial delay... I don't know what I was thinking, but that doesn't make sense anyway. Since when does a richer condition make the engine bog/delay? It wouldn't! It'd just hurt fuel economy and cause some black smoke. Doh!
I'll experiment with some other stuff in there. I thought ATF was approximately 20 weight anyway?
