However if I recall there's also no replacement interval for the power steering fluid (which uses ATF). I've seen two 240s with blackish, watery ATF in the power steering system.
I think that with these cars being 15-20 years old, replacing rear end and power steering fluids is a good idea. It's probably still running on the original fluid. Maybe replace at 100K intervals, something like that.
In practical terms, I'd replace it after buying the car - as budget allows - based on the assumption that the prev. owners probably never replaced those fluids.
