It will be much easier to remove, install, and adjust the door if you take a little time first to make a jig to support the weight. You can make it as simple or as complex as you like.

A 2X4 wrapped with a towel to protect the paint will work. Use a floor jack to support the jig (and door). You will need a helper to keep the door more or less vertical and to position the jack while you work on the fasteners and alignments.
