Make your own 200 1984

If you look at the gray plug carefully, you'll notice that there are removable plates on the side. Pop those off to access the wires individually.

Slice open the harness (or disconnect and pull wires through). You might find that there is good useable wire within. Cut off the bad parts and re-route the wires your own way. You can sheath the wires individually with vinyl tubing (for water, from hardware store) and bind them together with zip ties. Crimp on spade connectors.

On the plug end, blue butt connectors fit snugly over the plugs that are unique and have to be re-used. (Supposedly these plugs are available from Volvo at about 50 cents each, but I keep forgetting to check.)

Red and black wire (alt, oil) is readily available and can be run along the firewall to the inner fender and then to component instead of under engine front.
