I have a 1962 PV544 and i use it as a daily driver. I am about to replace the seats as they are far too uncomfortable. I drive about 100 miles a week, maybe a little more sometimes.
Just keep the car oiled(differential, gearbox, steering box, engine, and the runnig gear greased), watered and with a reasonable amount of petrol in the tank. I have found that it drives much better when it is driven regularly. It drives the carbon deposits out.
Keep the tyres(use same brand tyres) at the right pressure and make sure the steering box is set right for you. Get it tuned up by someone who will take the time to set it just right for you. My PV has a single carb, but i think most PV's in america are twin carb(SU or other) so it will need to be set correctly.
Then drive it like you stole it.
