To Shave or not to Shave?! That is my question 140-160 1975

I am in a bit of a deciding dilema friends. I am taking my 1975 164E to the bodyshop for new paint and bodywork next week. I can't decide whether I should shave most of the chrome trim off and have the rest painted over to match or keep all of the original chrome trim just as it is? One of my worries is that later on the chrome trim pieces may start getting lost and damaged anyway and I will have to remove them anyway later. Or is this just me being paranoid? This is my first classic volvo and I would also hate to remove the chrome and have the holes filled and then later on regret keeping the volvo original. I want to hear from you guys and let me know what you think. If you have had experience with this same thing and have done either one, did you regret it later? Let me know everyone and thanks! Chad
