I had the impression that the entire axle shaft could be moved in and out, although the amount you describe (.152 mm) seems pretty small. The fact that the noise remains constant when cornering suggests the bearing is not the problem. Usually, if it is, it will become distinctly louder when leaning toward the suspect side, and may diminish when leaning away from it.
Another thing to check is the rotor, for either a buildup of rust on the perimeter of the disc, which can make noise if it drags on the pads, or if the rotor is heavily worn, there can be a narrow ridge at the outer edge of the friction surface, that makes noise in a similar way. If either of these is the cause, it can be scraped off fairly easily (or replace the rotor)
Have you taken the rotor off and looked at the parking brake mechanism? Something in there could have come loose and be dragging, or a small piece of gravel might have found its way inside.
