Help me eval this 740 700

It is a 90. My gut tells me you are right - cap, rotor, wires, plug. I have an extra cap and rotor I just pulled from my 760. I will take that along in the AM when I go back to check it out further.
Just hope that it is not bad valves. That is the biggest worry - but even if it ended up as such - heads are pretty easy to come by.
